Montezuma Castle National Monument

You’re thinking kings, queens, thrones…no. It’s an area where there were cliff dwellers.

We weren’t sure where we’d end up on Monday, but found a campground in Camp Verde, AZ. We had hoped to start making our way to the Grand Canyon, but there were no campsites to be found.

So we explored the area of Montezuma Castle National Monument,

ate some Native American fry bread, (yep, just like it sounds), and

Tom hugged a tree.

  1. I think that tree-hugger shot is a framer.

  2. Tree hugger was probably calculating how many 2x4s he could get out of it.
