March 8 – we drove to Panthers Den for today’s hike. Pretty limited access as it was 1/2 mile of single lane gravel. When we got to the parking lot there was only a jeep and a Subaru there. Don’t think this was meant for a 25’ Winnebago, but we were undeterred.
There were many rock bluffs and creeks to cross.
Very few people came to this area and the fall leave cover still hid the trail. Even this tree got a little confused.
Not only creeks to cross by foot, but we had to drive through creeks that crossed the road.
