On Tuesday we drove the RV a mile down a narrow dirt road, which was only half as far as you can go on that road in a car or truck. We then walked 1 1/2 miles through the Chihuahuan Desert to the Hot Springs on the Rio Grande.

We didn’t see one Chihuahua, which was good because I dislike them.

People would sit in the 105° water and then go sit in the Rio Grande.


There was a private spa here in the early 1900’s, where people would pay 10 cents a day to soak in the healing waters. The stone buildings still remain and are very cool looking, but alas, I took no pictures.
In the picture below the little boy crossed over to Mexico. He’s now in a Mexican prison. jk
